Anne has evolved the use of Batik to a most enchanting new level. She is the only one to our knowledge of applying the age old method of Batik in a unique way. Instead of traditional materials of fabric and dye paints, Anne uses hot wax and watercolor paint on a special Japanese rice paper surface. The combination results in an amazing depth and color vibrancy. Fascinated by images found in nature, Anne has always been inspired by nature's beauty and shows great reverence with her own creative spin to our natural world in all of her artful compositions.
